Wednesday was not very thrilled with her costume. She was being a little crab about it. I thought I was going to pee in meine Hosen over it. For snerious.

60 bags of cough drops, please.

Last weekend, I went on a really fun, and really freaking random adventure. Kristen [my matron of honor, and I'm her maid of honor] called me and asked me if I wanted to go on an adventure. I was exhausted, but when she told me that it was to buy 60 bags of cough drops, I was totally on board.

Her fiance is in bootcamp at Parris Island right now, and in his letter he wrote that he was sick and needed cough drops. However, he’d need enough for all 59 of his platoon (?) mates. Rather than trying to guess what that meant number-wise, Kristen just decided that she’d send 60 bags. She’s totally awesome.

I took my camera along to document the mission. We went to Walmart first.

Some dude was blocking all the cough drops, so Kristen decided to attack some Children’s Motrin. We’re classy ladies.

So many choices!

Unfortunately, we thought that they were more expensive than they should be. Fail, Walmart, fail. Off to Kroger we go!resizeIMG_1040

Pitstop at the Vitamin Water tent in Kroger. So random.

Kristen was on a mission. I kept telling her to slow down. You can clearly see the hand gesture that went along with “Lauren, I’m not going to stop! Hurry the hell up.” I may have made that part up, but it was something along those lines. lolresizeIMG_1044

Kroger had “LOW LOW PRICES,” but also a “CRAPPY CRAPPY SELECTION.” We cleaned them out.resizeIMG_1047

I snuck some shots of her beautiful ring while she was loading up the movey-doo-dad at the checkout. I’m a ninja like that. Kroger only had 27 bags, so we had to go to Publix for the rest. Sadly, my camera battery le died and I didn’t get to document that leg of the trip. It was entertaining being looked at like crazy people. I mean, c’mon, a 6’3″ spazzy amazon with a camera following [read: chasing] a 5’2″ sassy lady buying out all of the city’s cough drops is a pretty entertaining sight.

Awesome. Can’t wait for our next MOH-MOH adventure.

We’ve been engaged for 9 months!

As of today at 12:00 AM, JP and I have been engaged for 9 months. 9 months ago, he proposed to me on a beach, right at midnight, and complete with fireworks.

Hello, flashlight night shot!

Just one of the teeny fireworks. Big boom booms were present as well!

Big ol' fireworks shooting into the air!

It was the most romantic and special moment of my entire life. I love him with my entire heart, and I we are so blessed to have found each other.

Oh, and on a less sappy note…

Today I discovered that I have lost 25 lbs since the end of July! Hooray!
